We operate as a studio for the Giant Screen film industry, responsible for financing, global distribution and marketing.
Our main focus is IMAX®, Giant Screen, and other specialty theaters located in museums, science centers, zoos, aquaria and other destination venue. But we are also a leading distributor to TV and other non-theatrical platforms worldwide.
Our catalogue not only contains Giant Screen / IMAX® films, but also a wide variety of non-IMAX documentaries, plus action sports, lifestyle, travel and music related programming.
FILM DISTRIBUTION
At K2 Studios Australia, we are passionate about bringing meaningful, educational and entertaining content to the giant screen, IMAX and domes across Australia. Our distribution network spans the country, delivering immersive experiences to schools, families and other audiences. Each of our offerings is carefully selected to ensure that we provide the latest and greatest in documentary content, suitable for all ages.
Theatrical Distribution
In conjunction with the evolution of production, K2 Studios Australia has expanded an already robust global distribution network. Distribution for giant screen films starts with marquee museum and science center institutions around the world. Theatres such as the Smithsonian in DC, the California Science Center in Los Angeles, and La Geode in Paris, play an integral role in the community impact and reach of each film. These institutions collaborate on complementary educational programs and there is often a seamless fit with other exhibits and initiatives.
Anxillary Distribution
Ancillary distribution refers to the other ways we distribute our Giant Screen documentaries. This includes cable TV, DVD, and streaming service providers (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon). This also includes Out of Home opportunities such as retail stores, airlines, etc.
